We're very excited and nervous.
Praying hard tht everything goes well.

Have spent the last 2 months literally sleeping and feeling nauseous.

Weighed in today at the docs. Surprise, surprise! Who knew being pregnant made u lose weight? 2kg to be exact.
Probably because I feel like throwing up all day long and not just in the morning. Especially during car rides.
Cooking has also been difficult bcos the smell of raw food (even some veggies like carrots) makes me want to puke.
So quite often in the last 2 months, if I didn't order take-out, or we didn't eat out, I just didn't eat.
Almost everyday I found myself wishing that someone was around just to make me fish porridge so I could just get up, eat and go back to sleep.

The doc gave me anti-nausea SUPPOSITORIES (of all things!!). Why not oral medication I DON'T KNOW.
They probably learnt it from the French who love sticking medicine up their butts...Even from a very tender age.
(Poor Carla, it has happened to her since she was 5 months old....haiz traumatised I say, traumatised.)

So, not wanting to take THAT route, I just haven't taken any anti-nausea medicine.
The ONLY thing that seems to help is Ting Ting Jahe Indonesian Ginger Candy, which I whip out when I want to puke.
With only about 5 sweets left, I'm panicking! And no one seems to be able to find ANY! Wee Keong has sent his legions scouring Singapore for it but no luck. Who wants to hop on a ferry to Batam for me? :) Anyone going to Indonesia real soon?? I'd be so grateful!

Anyway, all that aside, 12 weeks is supposed to be a milestone where all the tiredness and nausea is SUPPOSED to wear off.
Fingers crossed again!

JF is over the moon of course and I'm excited too. But more than anything else, I guess I'm just anxious. About everything. Baby's growth, baby's health, the birth, where to give birth, how to give birth. It's crazy!

It's a life altering event in so many ways, and frankly I don't know if I can cope. Some people make it seem so easy.
But very honestly, can U imagine someone needing U 24 hours a day? 7 days a week? Non-stop?
Even a dog doesn't need that kind of attention.

All my friends who are moms say the anxiety will fade the moment U see ur baby. U just want to be with him or her all day.
Let's hope so!

Today I felt so happy and excited to see Baby Chassin do para para dance in my tummy during the ultrasound. So active! Saw cute big head, nose, fingers and toes and even brains. Yup brains! Amazing :)

How do U know when your husband really REALLY loves u?

When he fixes on your false eyelashes for U and does it DAMN WELL!!! ;p hee hee hee.

My dear hubby is so talented.
He can cook, make pancakes, do electrical wiring, pin my kerosang onto my kebaya, build a wooden deck for the garden from scratch, bathe Cookie (no easy task with all tht wriggling!!) and now, to add to his already stunning repetoire of skills, he can put false eyelashes on for me!!

Last Sat was the IWI Spring Ball which I organised. It was a charity ball and our theme was Orient Express/1920s.
Have been working on this for the last 6 months, so very happy tht we raised about US$30,000 for charity.

With my now very GOON haircut (aka Dora the Explorer) I thought I needed something extra in the make-up department to detract from my clownish fringe.

Rummaged around and found a pair of false eyelashes tht I bought from BKK, dunno how long ago. AND a bottle of glue!
I was in luck. BUT I have never put these on myself before (usually a make-up artist does it for me). So I rope in JF to do the deed.

With so much experience sealing the bathtub and windows with silicone, my dear husband paints on the eyelash glue with such precision and then gently taps the lashes in place.

VOILA! My super long getai singer lashes are in place and stay put all evening.
